What Does Concrete Cost in Scottsdale in 2026?

Concrete cost in Scottsdale, AZ for 2026: national price ranges for driveways, patios, slabs, stamped work, removal, walks and walls, and how to read a quote.

What Does Concrete Cost in Scottsdale in 2026?

Plain concrete flatwork is published at roughly $6 to $12 per square foot installed across the country for 2026. We do not post a Scottsdale price list. A flat lot in south Scottsdale with alley access and a hillside lot near Troon with granite a foot down are two very different jobs, even at the same square footage.

The dollar figures on this page are national ranges that HomeGuide published for 2026. They are not quotes from The Scottsdale Concrete Company. Labor rates in the Phoenix area, material prices, truck access and what lies under your slab all shift the real number. Last checked October 2026.

How much does a concrete driveway cost?

The national range for a concrete driveway is $6 to $15 per square foot, which comes to $2,400 to $8,600 for a two-car driveway. Standard gray concrete is at the $6 to $10 end. Basic decorative work, such as color or exposed aggregate, is $10 to $15. In Scottsdale the things that push a driveway price are slope, hard digging in caliche or rock, and the finish an HOA will accept.

DrivewayNational installed range
Plain, per sq ft$6 to $10
Basic decorative, per sq ft$10 to $15
20x20 (400 sq ft)$2,400 to $6,000
24x24 (576 sq ft)$3,500 to $8,600

How much does concrete cost per square foot?

An installed slab is $6 to $12 per square foot on the national figures. Thickness moves it: $6 to $8 for a 4-inch slab and $8 to $10 for a 6-inch slab. Those numbers include grading, forms, concrete, finishing and labor. Breaking out old concrete, a pump truck for a back yard with no access, and rock excavation are separate lines.

How much does a concrete patio cost? What is a fair price for a 20x20 patio?

A plain patio is $4 to $12 per square foot nationally, and a stained or stamped one is $8 to $30. For a 20x20 patio the published range is $1,600 to $4,800 plain and $3,200 to $12,000 stained or stamped. A plain 12x12 is $600 to $1,700. No row is published for 12x20 or 16x20, so work those out from your square footage and the per-foot range. A back yard reached only through a 4-foot side gate costs more to pour than an open one, because the concrete has to be pumped or wheeled in.

How much does it cost to pour a concrete slab for a 24x24 garage or a 30x40 shop?

HomeGuide lists $600 to $1,200 for a 10x10 slab, $860 to $1,700 for a 12x12, $2,400 to $4,800 for a 20x20 and $5,400 to $10,800 for a 30x30. It has no row for 24x24 or 30x40. Multiplying its $6 to $12 per square foot figure gives $3,460 to $6,900 for 576 square feet and $7,200 to $14,400 for 1,200 square feet. That is arithmetic, not a published price. A slab that carries a building also needs footings and a city permit, and those are priced from the plans.

How much is concrete per cubic yard?

Ready-mix is $119 to $147 per cubic yard nationally, delivered within 20 miles. That buys the material at the truck chute and nothing else. Grading, forms, steel, placing, finishing and curing make up most of the bill, which is why two jobs using the same number of yards can be thousands of dollars apart.

How much does it cost to remove and replace an old driveway, with the old concrete hauled away?

Price it as two jobs added together. Removal with disposal is $3 to $8 per square foot nationally, or $1,200 to $4,500 for a whole driveway. The new driveway is then $6 to $15 per square foot. When we replace a slab, breaking it out and having it hauled away is written into the quote as its own line so you can see it.

How much does stamped concrete cost next to plain, and what about color or stain?

Stamped concrete cost is published at $8 to $19 per square foot, compared with $6 to $10 for a plain driveway. By job, that is $3,200 to $7,600 for a 20x20 stamped patio, $6,900 to $10,400 for a two-car stamped driveway and $800 to $1,700 for a 4x20 stamped walk. No separate national figure is published for adding color or stain alone, so we give none. We price color or stain once you have picked a shade and we have seen the surface.

How much does a concrete walkway cost?

The national walkway cost is $7 to $17 per square foot installed. A 4-foot-wide walk works out to $28 to $68 per linear foot, and the average job is $1,400 to $3,400.

How much does a concrete retaining wall cost?

The published retaining wall cost is $3,000 to $10,000 on average, or $45 to $270 per linear foot, or $15 to $45 per square foot of wall face. In Scottsdale add the design work to your budget: the city requires engineered plans and a permit for every retaining wall, whatever its height.

How much does a parking pad or sidewalk cost for a small business?

No national figure is published for commercial parking pads or lots, so we do not quote one. For a small business the price depends on the vehicles the slab must carry, the accessible route, drainage, and whether any of the work is in the city right of way. We price it after a site visit. A plain sidewalk on private property starts from the walkway range above.

I have three quotes for the same patio and they are far apart. Which one do I trust?

Trust the one that tells you what you are buying. Line the three up and look for the slab thickness, the base, the reinforcement, the joint plan, the finish, the access method and the cleanup. The gap between a low and a high quote is nearly always in those items, not in the price of the concrete. Also check that all three bidders hold an Arizona Registrar of Contractors licence, since any job over $1,000 requires one.

After demolition the contractor wants extra for a gravel base. Is that fair?

It can be, if the quote allowed for it. Nobody sees the ground until the old slab is gone. In this area the surprise is as often hard caliche that needs a breaker as it is loose fill that needs replacing. A sound quote names a unit price for added base or rock work before the job starts. If the request for extra for the base comes with nothing in writing, ask to be shown the ground and have the change written and signed before more work is done.

How do I know if a concrete quote is fair?

A concrete quote is fair when the total lands inside the published range for that kind of work and every part of the job is listed. You should be able to read off the area, thickness, base, steel, joints, finish, removal, permit or city approval, and payment terms. A single lump sum with no detail cannot be judged at all.

Your own price comes from a free visit, a tape measure and a written quote. Call (480) 771-7722 or text a photo of the area.
